Writing for Suite101 and Squidoo

I've started writing for Suite101 again. Actually, posting might be a better word, since their change in direction!

There's a lot I like about the new look and feel, and some things I like less. I'll round up everything in a blog post at some point, but for now, you might like to go and check out some of my most recent stuff in the Online Writers channel.

At the same time, I'm getting more into Squidoo (it's just a fun platform!) so I'll post a few of my experiments here as and when!

New Collection Page : eBook Writing and Marketing

I've been back to Suite101 and written some new articles. I just wanted to wait and see how the new site design was going to look and feel, and I'm glad at the way it's turned out.

So, I'll start adding my back catalog to this blog, and creating new collection pages as I go, but for now, the latest one is all about writing and marketing.

It's called Writing and Marketing eBooks, and well worth a visit if you want to learn more about either creating eBooks or marketing them.

Added the Rome, Italy Articles to European Travel

I've created a European Travel page, and added the latest set of Rome, Italy articles to it. The Poland set will go up at some point in the future, probably after the Wales, UK visit!

First Collection Page Added

Just made the first page pulling together a few articles on loyalty schemes and loyalty marketing. The page itself is called Loyalty, Reward and Customer Service, three aspects of online and offline retail that will all have a direct impact on revenue and profit.

Blog Posts, Article Lists & More!

The purpose of this blog is to provide a sensible place to house listings of my Suite101 articles.I'll probably also add my EzineArticles(dot)com listings as well, just for the sake of completeness.

There are two reasons.

The first is that Suite101's various widgets for promoting articles are fine if you're known for one topic, but a bit restrictive if are, or want to be, known for covering multiple topics, and need a place to list related pieces. It's like being able to label them, and then listing them - with blogger I can do that, on Suite101... I can't.

The other reason is to provide a central place where I can share my knowledge with others, add some interesting blog posts, and generally keep my army of fans up to date with my scribbling.

Oh, and there is a third reason. If you want me to guest blog on any of the topics that are listed here, drop me a line via Twitter : @gwleckythompson
